At Health and Wholeness we offer Private and Semi-Private Personal Training. If you want professional, one-in-one attention in a space without an audience, or a waiting line for equipment, we may be just what you are looking for.

3 More Great Reasons to Train With Us:
Reason #1: No Membership Fee! You only pay for the services you use.

Reason #2: Variety & Fun!
Adults need to play too, and we have more "toys" than you will find at most local gyms/studios. Forget showing up and expecting to do the same thing for weeks on end. While still progressing toward your ultimate goals, there are unlimited ways to exercise and a lot of them feel more like playing than exercising. Check out the pictures below for a small sample of some of the various ways your trainer might challenge you.

Reason #3: Our Objective Tools!
So you can have an objective gauge of your progress we regularly monitor our clients in the following areas:

  • Body Fat : Overall, and in each limb
  • Muscle Mass : Overall, and in each limb
  • Visceral Fat : Mid-section fat
  • Hydration Levels : What is your body water %?
  • Bone Mass : How strong are your bones for your age?
  • Metabolic Rate : How many calories you burn at rest?
  • Metabolic Age : How old you really are!
  • We also recommend (but do not require): Heart Rate Monitors, and Body Bugg: Calorie, Sleep and Activity Monitors.

What can I expect from Personal Training?
Broadly speaking we have a three-phase approach to our Personal Training.

Phase 1: Efficient Human Movement
Before you start going after your personal exercise-related goals it is important to make sure you know how to move your body (more particularly your joints) through space appropriately. Whether from injury, too much sitting, or simply lack of use we humans tend to develop some pretty funny movement patterns that aren't necessarily good for muscles and joints. Being trained in sound biomechanics helps prevent injury and unnecessary wear and tear on your body.

Phase 2: Your Fitness Bucket List
As your body instinctively learns how to move efficiently, a whole world of exercise options awaits you. This phase is about training you to accomplish your fitness goals - be that changing your body composition, competing in a sport, lifting a particular weight, completing our toughest fitness challenges, hiking the Swiss Alps, or dancing at your grandkids wedding. What do you want to accomplish before you "Kick the Bucket"?

Phase 3: Aging Gracefully
Part of aging gracefully is retaining the abilities you do have. As you cross off fitness milestones, simply training for the purpose of staying fit is quite possible the most worthy goal of all. This phase is about seeing exercise as a lifestyle commitment and working to enjoy the vitality you've earned. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Who can benefit from Personal Training?
You probably guessed it...anyone! Whether you are looking to change your body composition, or are pregnant, post-partum, recovering from an injury, wanting to add muscle, increase endurance or athletic performance, or just wanting to know how to take good care of your body, if you're ready to work toward a new level of vitality, and a body you can walk around in confidently, we're ready to give you the tools.
